The Inntherm® catheter is introduced intravascularly by the Seldinger method through a conventional diagnostic catheter into the required anatomical site in the heart. Manipulation with the catheter and its introduction requires only basic catheterization procedures. A thermocouple is used to measure the temperature, ensuring a fast frequency response. The catheter is connected to the communication unit that allows secure data transfer to the computer (fibre optic connection). The proprietary SW application of the thermodilution device processes the captured data and provides results for individual heart defects.

The software leads the procedure and navigate the clinician to the appropriate anatomical location for given diagnoses.
